2012 FIVE COLLEGE OUTDOOR FESTIVAL!

The Five College Outdoor Festival is a yearly celebration of outdoor sports, wild places, and the spirit of adventure. Our goal is to inspire the Five College and western Massachusetts community to engage in human-powered outdoor recreation. Celebrating our 11th year, activities at the festival include: an adventure race, pancake brunch, climbing competition, kayaking in the pool with Zoar Outdoor, spinning with Energia, and the Telluride Mountain Film On Tour! A silent auction and a raffle will be held during the day to raise money for Gardening the Community in Springfield, MA and the Western Massachusetts Climbers Coalition (WMCC).

RENDEZVOUS RECAP

 rendevous by Cort Gariepy

Thanks to everyone who ventured out to support the WMCC at the Western Mass Rendezvous on October 1st. While the weather put a damper on the outdoor events, our friends at Central Rock Gym were gracious enough to let us take over for the day. An indoor bouldering competition for all ages and the 2011 REEL ROCK Film Tour highlighted the evening with tons of gear give-aways and great company along the way. The outdoor competition that was scheduled for the day was postponed to a date to be determined later this fall so stay tuned.

Thanks for everyone’s support. See you out there!
